Acceleration program

We run a cohort based intense acceleration program for start-ups with MVP or at piloting stage with tremendous impact potential and scalability.

The SOCENT Acceleration Fellowship is meant for advance stage start-ups with product or service ready and/or experienced a reasonable traction. The acceleration program follows similar criteria for selecting start-ups, however, with higher intensity, commitment, reliability and scalability. The program is designed to accelerate the growth of start-ups ready with products/services by supporting them in achieving self sustainability. The start-ups selected under this program will be facilitated with advanced mentoring and seed grant in order to turn them into successful and impactful social enterprises.

Salient features of SOCENT Fellowship

The program features the following benefits for selected cohort of social ventures:

The acceleration program is an in-house rigorous program, runs for 3-4 months. The program facilities include regular training modules, mentoring sessions, in-house expert interactions, networking opportunities and financial support. The exclusive features of the program are as follows:

  •   Seed funding as a grant ranging from 2 – 5 Lakh INR
  •   Mentoring by experienced in-house professionals, faculty and external experts
  •   Access and guidance by sector and functional experts
  •   Regular trainings and specialized workshops for social ventures
  •  Access to vast network of BVIC, including entrepreneurs, alumni, mentors, investors, corporates, national & international experts and more
  •   Investors’ connect
  •  Branding and visibility through various publications, reports and media coverage
  •   Direct access to our extensive network of grass root communities/villages

The select start-ups are continuously supported throughout the acceleration program. The program ends with a demo day where in wider audience participates and fellows demonstrate their business propositions to interested stakeholders, inviting external funds for scaling up their businesses.

Who can qualify as BVIC SOCENT Fellows?

Existing Social Entrepreneurs/non-profits exhibiting:

  •   Innovative social ideas/solutions to address social issues
  •   Disruptive and impactful social ideas
  •   Technological solutions for social problems
  •   Passion to make a difference with business solutions
  •   Ability to benefit from the fellowship program
  •   Willingness to learn and experiment in creating social solutions
