Shoury Reddy
Executive Director
Shoury joined Bala Vikasa when it was founded in India in 1991. His vast experience of over 25 years working with grassroots communities, networking with multi-level stakeholders, carrying out effective PR and capacity building, enables him to manage the organization successfully. His personal and professional dedication drives the vision and mission of BVIC. He is an effective motivational speaker and inspired many thousands across India and abroad. He is instrumental in conceptualizing & functioning of BVIC. He believes in ‘Preach what you practice’ and ‘Practice what you preach’. With the same spirit and passion, he developed and demonstrated how to run a successful social enterprise through ‘SUJAL-Any Time Water’ model. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Diploma in Social Development from Coady International Institute, St. F. X. University, Canada.
Ramana Gupta
Head - BVIC
Ramana has assumed overall supervision of BVIC and is spearheading the passion of founders in developing BVIC as COE for Social Entrepreneurship and Business Responsibility. Ramana has more than two decades of vast experience in corporate field. He held various positions and reached to become corporate treasurer of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Mumbai. Prior to it, he was a banker and gained experience in various banking sectors. In his second innings, he is actively working with startup companies by investing directly and through Hyderabad angle network. He is also an independent director of a listed company. Ramana comes from rural background and is passionate in social front. He is currently developing and transforming his native village into a model village. He is a graduate of science and a professional risk manager with FRM certification.
Rahul Bhardwaj
Head - Program
Rahul is associated with BVIC as a Head of Social Entrepreneurship and Business Responsibility Programs, wherein he primarily focuses on incubation and acceleration programs for Social Ventures and charting out new growth paths for BVIC. Rahul has been an accomplished strategy and management consultant prior to starting his own ventures.In his last position, he was a Director in KPMG’s Strategy Consulting Practice. In past, Rahul has also worked with Aditya Birla Group and Deloitte. Additionally, Rahul has been an entrepreneur and advises on business incubation and business accelerator programs through his company UREKA Ventures. Additionally, he sits on the board of Cocoon Ventures and advises on Principal Investments in Start-ups. Rahul is also a voracious reader and a very active gamer. He is an alumnus of highly prestigious London Business School, London and immensely reputed Hansraj College, Delhi.
Vijay Kumar Machcha
Lead - Responsible Business Programs & Advisory
Vijay Kumar is a senior Environment, Energy and Sustainability professional having extensive experience in Advisory and Auditing areas. He successfully delivered various programs and projects, which supported the sustainable and responsible initiatives of the businesses. He has over 10 years of experience in UN-funded, multi & bilateral capacity building programs, quality & environmental management, corporate sustainability, climate change, waste management, renewable energy and financing. In the past, he worked with TUV NORD, SENES, IT Power and Zenith Energy. He is a qualified environmental and quality auditor, in addition to various accomplishments in sustainability, climate change and CSR domains to his credit. At BVIC, he leads the responsible business programs and the deployment of responsible business practices in corporates & SMEs, while also supporting social entrepreneurship program and advisory services.
Hafeez Basha
Lead - Incubation & Social Entrepreneurship Programs
Hafeez Basha is an R&D Professional with 10+ years of varied experience at MNCs like Satyam Computers, Thomson Reuters, etc. and varsities like K L University and Bharat Institutions. He delivered Lectures on Renewable Energy at BITS-Pilani, NIT-Karnataka, NIT-Rourkela, IIIT-Hyderabad and other premiere institutions in India and abroad. He did his B. Tech and M. Tech at JNTU-Hyderabad and ANU-Guntur respectively and Ph. D in Electrical Engineering from Kumamoto University, Japan. At BVIC he leads the Incubation Program with a responsibility of scouting Social Entrepreneurs, setting-up and on-boarding incubates and mentors, developing curriculum, scheduling & planning training modules, etc.
Shaik Salman Ashraf
Associate, Programs and Research
Salman is associated with BVIC as a Associate for programs and reserch. He works on designing the Social Entrepreneurship education resources for Incubation program. With encouragement and support from friends, Salman started two knowledge investment based social initiative ventures called “Gamyam” and “Team for Change”. He worked voluntarily and motivated hundreds of Children, Youth, Women and Rural Entrepreneurs in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Salman is a bibliophile and enjoys reading. He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Post Graduate Diploma in Youth Development from Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Chennai. Besides, to his credit, he has B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from GMR Institute of Technology, Rajam, Andhra Pradesh.
